Napoli striker and star broke the record recorded by the Argentine legend Mardona for the number of goals with Naples, where he was awarded the title of historical goalscorer of Naples with 115 goals, but yesterday scored Driz Mertens goals against the Austrian Red Bull to raise the balance with the Italian club Napoli to 116 goals, one goal behind Argentine legend Mardona.
The Naples winger still has the chance to score more goals for at least two seasons with Napoli or more.
Mertens is a 32-year-old Belgian player who joined Napoli in 2013 with a deal worth 9.5 million euros. During his six seasons with Napoli he made a very special level and scored many goals, most recently yesterday in the Italian match against the Red Bull of Austria. Two goals and skipped and broke the legend Mardna number.
