عاد فريق مانشستر وبدا يصعد للامام ويقترب من المراكز الاولى بعد فترة من التراجع الكبير , وحقق فوزا هاما بثلاثيه رائعه فى شباك فريق برايتون , كانت البدايه قويه جدا من فريق مانشستر بهدف احراز هدف مبكر وباالفعل تمكن من احراز الهدف الاول عن طريق اللاعب اندرياس بيريرا فى الدقيقة 17 , وبعدها بدقائق وتحديدا فى الدقيقة 19 يحرز لاعب برايتون ديفى بروبر هدفا فى مرماه ثم جاء الهدف الثالث فى الشوط الثانى وتحديدا فى الدقيقة 66 عن طريق نجم الفريق راشفود , وجاء هدف برايتون الوحيد عن طريق اللاعب لويس دونك فى الدقيقة 64 , لتنتهى المبارة وسط فرحة جماهير مانشستر بالانتصار وعودة الاداء المميز .
بهذا الفوز صعد مانشستريونايتد للمركز السابع برصيد 16 نقطة , بينما تجمد رصيد برايتون عند النقطة 15 فى المركز الحادى عشر.
